E-Commerce and Ubercart Website Development

We've built custom shopping carts, as well as implemented several different open source shopping carts, including Zen Cart, OS Commerce, VirtueMart with Joomla, and Ubercart in Drupal. We've also built SOAP servers to allow manufacturers to take orders from distributors. We've built payment gateways for several of these systems, and imported products and images from other content management systems and existing online stores.

We run our own server instances so if you choose to host your website on our servers, you can depend on Freelock to keep security locked down. We do recommend our clients to source a dedicated or virtual server to host an e-Commerce website should they host their own website to ensure the site stays safe from hackers.

Drupal's Ubercart e-Commerce Suite

We've have worked with them all. Ubercart is our current e-Commerce system of choice primarily for its level of development and support, but also for its integration with the Drupal CMS. Ubercart allows you to have both a content-rich website with product reviews and comments and a shopping cart in the same system. Most of the other shopping carts work well for shopping and managing products, but come up short in terms of content management.

Ubercart is also great for e-Tailers in Washington, as it's the first system we've worked that can calculate Washington State destination-based sales tax.

Whether you are adding e-Commerce to a Drupal website, implementing a new e-Commerce store, or simply need more information on how to leverage the power of Drupal and Ubercart, contact Freelock to see how we can help get you online and selling!

Customer Feedback

I recommend you use Linux for your server(s). Mine are so reliable, it shocked me that after years of Microsoft-based expectations, I have no complaints now after many many years experience with Linux servers supporting a mixed Win2K and Apple OSX workstation network. Freelock has really opened my eyes to what I should be expecting from enterprise software. Linux is simply much better than anything Microsoft has done, and even on Microsoft's best day, Microsoft is too expensive, too proprietary and too unreliable. There is just no reason to keep putting ourself through that grief, constant change, and endless high cost.
